Re-Elect Chris Prock

County Commissioner

MEET County Commissioner

Chris Prock

Conservative leadership putting faith, family, and community first.

Growing up in Borger, Chris was taught at a young age the importance of hard work, personal responsibility, and serving others in the community. He was raised by parents who taught him to defend what is right and to treat everyone around with honesty and respect, and those principles have guided him throughout life.

Chris graduated from Borger High School in 2002 before moving to Stillwater to attend Oklahoma State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology. Later he moved to Dallas to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker College. Opening his first chiropractic clinic in Sanger, Texas, he learned firsthand how to run a business and to manage the challenges working families encounter every day.

After a serious accident involving his father and niece, Chris was reminded how important family and friends truly are. He moved back in early 2015 to open Borger Family Chiropractic and return to the home and family/friends he always knew, recommitting himself to the community that helped raised him.

The love of the community and the importance of giving back extends beyond the typical business day. He is President of the Borger Lions Club, President of Hutchcares (a nonprofit dedicated to help senior citizens live independently in their homes), an active volunteer for Snack Pak 4 Kids, and is the voice for the Frank Phillips College Plainsmen sports programs.

He is a proud member of Borger Chamber of Commerce, being an annual speaker on their “Leadership Borger” program, where he is also a graduate of the program. He attends Fairlanes Baptist Church where he is a deacon.

Chris believes that true leadership starts with serving the community in a transparent and accessible manner. As County Commissioner, he has worked daily to be accountable to the taxpayers he serves and to protect the values that make Hutchinson County a great place to live. He is committed to continuing this work, and will always be one call or text away.

Chris lives in Borger where he is the current County Commissioner and the owner of Borger Family Chiropractic. His fiancée Hannah Lang is a Speech Pathologist at Borger ISD. In his free time away from the roles described above, he enjoys being outside, listening to good music, and simply trying to enjoy the short time we have here.

Why I Serve

Being born and raised in Hutchinson County, I have loved every day getting to serve the community that raised me. Moving away after high school and being able to return has shown me what an incredible place this is to live and raise a family. I love our people, and I love our community here. Whenever tragedies and disasters hit, the resolve and unity our small county shows is unlike most places in the country, and that has never been more visible than in the last five years. Most anyone can lead when times are simple and easy, but the leadership one provides is fully revealed when times are difficult.

I am running for reelection as your County Commissioner because our community deserves proven and steady leadership that delivers results you can clearly see….

My values are firmly rooted in faith, families, and our community. We are called to be accountable for what we are entrusted with, especially the taxpayer dollars our citizens work hard to earn. This conviction guides every decision I make as Commissioner:

1.) Spend wisely, with the mindset that every dollar is coming out of my own pocket.

2.) Plan responsibly, with a vision for our children being able to raise their own family here one day.

3.) Most importantly, always put our people ahead of any politics.

During the time I’ve served as your Commissioner, I’ve focused on doing the job the correct way: showing up each and every day, being transparent with each one of our taxpayers, and making decisions with a fiscally responsible mindset and common sense. Even though inflation rose to historic highs, costs went up nationwide, and property values increased across the state, our county has worked hard to lower the tax rate year after year. We were able to do this without cutting any of our county services, proving that strong leadership combined with responsible budgeting is critical to meet the needs of our community.

I am proud of the progress we have made during this historic time, but there is still more work to do. I am running for reelection to continue building on that progress, to keep our county financially strong, and still ensure local government remains responsive to the people it serves. I firmly believe that government should be trustworthy, accessible, and rooted deeply in integrity. That means we should always seek to tell the truth, show up consistently, and remember that every dollar we are spending belongs to the people and not our government.

My vision doesn’t change when times get tough, and I pledge to continue fighting for each and every one of you as we strengthen our community and protect our taxpayers.

Real leadership. Real accountability. Real results.
